breast implant
How long does it take to completely heal from Plastic surgery procedures?
Of course there is not a single answer for all patients, because each body is different. But it would be wise to say that final healing happens as from the sixth month. When you compare Plastic surgery procedures to other breast enhancement methods, such as herbal methods, or massage, the misconception that surgery renders immediate results becomes evident.
Healing from such an operation is a long process. It has to be considered that not only the skin has to heal, but also, the inner layers of the mammary gland. Muscles, tendons, ligaments also have to be stitched, so, to the evident scars of the skin, all the other layers’ scars will follow.
The first weeks after a Plastic surgery procedure the patient is usually in deep pain. So, it is customary that patients should be on heavy painkillers right after the procedure.
It is not possible for women who have just had a breast implant surgery to start with their daily activities right away. No efforts or sudden movements with the arms can be made. If you sleep downwards, then you need to find a new position to conciliate sleep.
It will take patients two months to start practicing light physical activities. The risk of doing some rough exercise is that the stitches may come out and the wound may re open.
Scars usually look like a thick red mark, but eventually with time, they tend to disappear. Again this depends on the capacity of each one to heal without scars.
